Questions have been raised regarding the theatre management’s failure to manage the large crowd effectively. Reports indicate there were no separate entrances or exits designated for the actor’s team, the police, or the general public, leading to chaos.
A case has been registered against Sandhya Theatre management and actor Allu Arjun. Authorities allege that the management and the movie team did not provide prior intimation about the actor’s presence at the premiere. Adequate security arrangements could have potentially prevented the unfortunate incident.
The Chikkadpally Police Station team, handling the case, has taken Allu Arjun into custody as part of the investigation. The situation has sparked debates about the responsibilities of event organizers and public figures in ensuring safety at high-profile events.
At the time of registering the FIR, Akshansh Yadav, Deputy Commissioner of Police for Hyderabad’s Central Zone, stated that a case had been filed under BNS Section 105 (punishment for culpable homicide not amounting to murder) and 118(1) r/w 3(5) (voluntarily causing hurt or grievous hurt). The FIR was lodged at the Chikkadpally police station based on a complaint from the family of the deceased.
He assured that the incident was under investigation and that strict legal action would be taken against those responsible for creating the chaos inside the theatre, which resulted in the loss of one life and injuries to others.

The chaos intensified in the lower balcony area, where the woman and her son were caught in the dense crowd. They reportedly experienced severe suffocation due to the lack of space. Police personnel on duty noticed the situation and immediately carried the woman and her son outside. CPR was administered on-site, and both were rushed to the hospital.
At the hospital, doctors informed the police that the woman had passed away, while her son was admitted to a super-specialty hospital for further treatment. The incident has raised concerns about the lack of proper crowd management and safety measures at the event.
