The incident occurred on Monday at 8:12 pm on the CSMT-Kalyan suburban train at Kalwa station. Fortunately, no injuries were reported, according to Yasin Tadvi, chief of Thane Municipal Corporation’s disaster management cell.

A police official suggested that the explosion might have been caused by a battery malfunction or another technical issue.
