Ambati Rayudu Bids Farewell to IPL, Announces Retirement

Ambati Rayudu, the former India ODI specialist and renowned player for the Chennai Super Kings (CSK), revealed on Sunday that he will be concluding his participation in the IPL 2023 during the final match against the Gujarat Titans (GT) in Ahmedabad.

Rayudu, who had previously retired from international cricket following his exclusion from the 2019 World Cup in England, had also declared retirement from domestic cricket a couple of years ago, only to reverse his decision later.

However, in a recent tweet, the 38-year-old cricketer from Hyderabad affirmed that there would be no turning back this time. With 139 runs in 15 matches this season, Rayudu has chosen to bid farewell to the IPL after the upcoming final.

In international cricket, Rayudu boasted an impressive track record, featuring in 55 one-day internationals (ODIs) for India. He amassed a total of 1694 runs, including three centuries and ten half-centuries, with a remarkable batting average of over 47.
