Mira Road Riots | The atmosphere is filled with excitement everywhere for the grand inauguration of the magnificent Ram temple in Ayodhya. Today, on January 22, Lord Ram is consecrated in the splendid temple. The entire country is immersed in enthusiasm, with joyful processions and celebrations taking place across the nation.

However, on Sunday, near Mumbai in the Mira Road area, there was an uproar during a procession related to the traditional journey. The police have taken the incident seriously and issued a warning against spreading unverified information.

A fight happened between two groups during a car rally near Mumbai. The police detained six people on Monday.

The trouble started around 10:30 pm on Sunday when a group of 10 to 12 people in three cars and as many motorcycles were having a rally from Naya Nagar under Mira Bhayandar police area. They were shouting slogans supporting Lord Ram for the upcoming temple ceremony in Ayodhya on Monday.

While shouting slogans, some people reportedly set off firecrackers, leading to a confrontation with locals who came out with wooden sticks. They argued with the participants and damaged their vehicles. The individuals on the vehicles were also attacked.

Swift police action dispersed the attackers, and heavy security was placed in the area to prevent any further issues, including Riot Control Police deployment.

Following a complaint at Naya Nagar police station, the attackers are now facing charges under section 307 (attempted murder) of the Indian Penal Code. Six individuals have been detained, and efforts are underway to apprehend others involved.

The MBVV police successfully resolved the dispute in Mira Bhayandar-Vasai Virar. However, this incident has created tension due to the scheduled consecration of the Ram temple in Ayodhya on Monday. The authorities have announced precautions, revealing that miscreants tore the flag of Lord Ram, creating tension. They also vandalized vehicles displaying the Ram flag.

Senior police officials stated that a clash occurred in Kirkol. People are urged not to believe any rumors. No incidents of communal violence have been reported in connection with this event. To prevent any escalation, the police have deployed security measures and warned against spreading false information.

Caution Against Unverified Reports on Mira Road Riots

In response to the incident, the police have issued orders for an investigation, and further action will be taken based on the findings. Authorities are on high alert to maintain peace during the scheduled inauguration of the Ram temple in Ayodhya. The police are vigilant across the region, and preparations for the consecration ceremony have been completed.

A procession was organized by Hindu groups around midnight on Sunday. The incident occurred around 12:00 AM on January 21. Mumbai Police personnel arrived at the scene after assessing the situation. Several individuals have been taken into custody following the incident, and the police assured that the situation is under control.

The Mumbai Police conducted a flag march in Mira Road to ensure peace. The public has been urged to remain calm, and the police have cautioned against spreading rumors. The incident took place in a locality with a diverse population, including Gujarati, Marwari, and Jain communities. The police clarified that the affected area is predominantly inhabited by Muslims.

The police have appealed for cooperation and emphasized that the incident should not be sensationalized. The incident involved an attack on the Sanatan Yatra, a religious procession in Mira Road.
